Wake-Up Juice

Last week I bought a juicing book & this morning I tried my first new Juice from the Super Juicer by Christine France

WAKE-UP JUICE!

Serves 2:
  • 1 Orange
  • Large Spring of fresh Mint
  • 1 medium Cantaloupe
Peel the orange leaving on the white pith. Juice the orange, mint, and melon.

Benefits?
This Juice is packed with Vitamin C.  Melon Juice is diuretic and rich in beta-carotene.  The Aromatic oils in mint aid and soothe the digestion and help to calm the nerves, while also giving you fresh breath!

I did my P90X workout this morning and this was a nice refreshing drink to get my day started.  Its approved by Daniel and baby Ella! Ella actually carried her cup around while taking breaks to dance while drinking her morning juice! She is now in a great mood!  What could be better than feeding our kids fresh juice?

16th Annual Norman Conquest

Last Saturday Morning to my surprise I woke up at 5am got my biking gear together and I participated in the 16th Annual Norman Conquest.  I didn't know I was riding in this until Thursday night and I was a little bit nervous because I couldn't remember the last time I went biking or the last time I even rode a bike besides inside at the gym.  Christina, Petra, Petra's boyfriend, Walter, and I looked a little bit like amateurs compared to all the serious bike riders out there! But none the less we all survived and the phrase "It's like running a bike" is true because I did great! I also realized that I want to start biking and possibly become one of those serious cyclist ! The best part of the race is I got to wear a number! I always  wanted to be one of those people with a number on my back! I felt like a real fitness guru and it was a wonderful feeling that I don't think I could ever get enough of! I am looking forward to the dirty 30 race thats less than 2 weeks away and the a half marathon is next! Life is GOOD!

Miss me Blog?

IM STILL HERE!

Lately I have been more busy than I like to be and not managing my time like I should.  That being said because I am now on a set work schedule I am working on planning out my weeks so life runs smoother. The last two days came and went way to fast.  My to-do list is becoming my "things that didn't get done list" and keeps carrying over to the following day.  I'll get caught up soon and my blogging should become more frequent.  I am excited to get my butt back into the kitchen and make some new meals! The worst part about my poor time management is the lack of whole fresh foods that are not being made this past week.  I picked up some new books over the past two weeks and excited to try some new things!
